Additionally, they have lots of proteins, carotenoids, and anti-oxidants with only a few calories. Green beans have nutrients reported to also be anticarcinogenic, assisting the prevention and even the stopping the spread of some cancers in the body. (4, 5, 6)] Further, peppers assist in fighting inflammation, too, with their anti-oxidants. Raw and roasted peppers offer anti-oxidant benefits. Roasting may raise or lower those benefits depending on the pepper type and stage of their growth.
